Hunter Boots - More Than Just A Farmer's Boot

When I ask anyone what they think of when they look at a pair of Hunter boots, they all agree that they're the best looking boot for doing all sorts of things in all sorts of weather! Their colours are fab for kids too and many of my friends have bought them for their children in the brightest of yellow or the pinkest of pink! One of the great little features of the kids boots is that they all have a reflective strip on the front and back of the boot for safety and visualisation, what a great idea for a kids boot. Another thing about the children's Hunters is the fact that they're strong and durable and they actually support their ankles, which is good to know.

These days we don't just associate Hunter boots with HRH the Queen, even though she does favour the dark olive ones and some are even called aristocratic names like the ‘Savoy', the ‘Regent', the Balmoral' and the ‘Chelsea' and its regal names like these that all add to the essence that the Hunter boot is one of the best boots you can buy and that somehow, you are wearing an iconic boot on your foot that is steeped in English heritage.

 

Hunter boots have previously been linked with the country life but this has changed in recent years as they have made a big impact on the younger wearer, since Kate Moss was seen wearing her Hunter boots at a music festival, thousands of people have emulated the look and the boot was the essential item to pack when going to a festival (along with your beer of course!) and this has caused the Hunter boots to now be seen as a real fashion ‘must-have' for the young and trendy. The great thing as well of course is that you may look great at a music festival in your Hunter boots but you will also be warm and dry and happy! Not a lot of footwear can provide this great combination.

These days, Hunter boots are not so much seen as just Wellingtons (this would do them a great dis-service) they are held in much higher esteem in peoples minds and rightly so because they are so much more than just a Wellington and Hunter have worked hard to make their boots stand head and shoulders above the rest in their area of the market. The range of different styles and textures that Hunter offer these days is enormous, and their boots are so ‘good looking', take the Hunter ‘Regent', this boot symbolises fashion, comfort and style and would look great with a barbour jacket and a scarf. What about the Hunter ‘Chelsea' boot with its equestrian inspired style and the neoprene lined leg – you may well like to wear it whilst riding your horse but it certainly wouldn't look out of place this season with a pair of skinny jeans and a bit of attitude!

Another demographic that Hunter are pleasing is the horticultural-type. Now manufacturing floral designs on their boots courtesy of the Royal Horticultural Society, this pretty range of boots with floral designs are being snapped up by ladies everywhere who enjoy a spot of gardening or just want to look their best when pottering in the garden and when its wet, and who could blame them, I quite fancy the ‘Thistle and Forget-Me-Not' personally!

So not only does Hunter have a strong past, its future is looking pretty good too, especially if they keep up the great work and the hunter boots keep appealing to all types of people and all ages.
